Bioprocess Container Systems

Charter Medical, Ltd. is a leader in the design and manufacture of highly specialized flexible containers for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Charter Medical offers a family of biopharmaceutical containers and sampling technology that helps you speed your product to market. All products are manufactured in the USA.

We supply the Biotech and BioPharm industries with:

Bio-Pak® XL Bioprocess Container

The Charter Bio-Pak® XL series containers are an efficient and cost-effective alternative to large tanks and carboys for sterile fluid containment and processing. The single use Bio-Pak® XL bags eliminate the issues surrounding cleaning validation, storage and sterilizing of traditional containers. In addition, they are lightweight, easy to fill, and easier to handle than large glass or steel tanks. The Bio-Pak® XL Plus containers include built-in 0.22um hydrophilic filters. Bio-Pak® XL containers can be custom-configured with the right combination of inlets, tubing, filters and sampling outlets to suit a specific process. Compared to steel tanks, which require custom assembly and sterilization before each use, these pre-assembled bags present tremendous time savings.

BP Small Volume Containers

The Charter Medical BP containers range in size from 30mL to 25L, and are a cost-effective alternative to rigid glass and plastic bottles. The single use BP-Minis eliminate the issues surrounding cleaning validation, storage and sterilizing of traditional containers. They are lightweight, easy to fill, and more convenient to handle than conventional rigid bottles.

Bio-Fill Disposable Bioprocess Containers

Bio-Fill

For the Sterile Filtration of: Tissue Culture Media, Buffers, and other Aqueous Solutions

Bio-Fill containers were designed specifically for bioprocess areas such as process
development, where the sterile filtration of aqueous solutions, specifically cell culture media is critical. The Bio-Fill combines the easy-use funnel style sterile filtration with the convenience of a single-use bioprocess bag for the collection and transport of the sterilized product. Each system is sterilized by gamma-irradiation.

2 units are available to work with volumes between 1L and 2L, and between 3L and –

Contour Tank Liners

Charter Medical's single use, Contour Tank Liners are a cost-effective alternative to dedicated tanks & carboys. Contour liners eliminate the issues surrounding cleaning validation and sterilizing of traditional containers. Most importantly, because they are single use, the problem of cross-contamination between different products is virtually eliminated. One rigid plastic container equipped with a fresh liner can be used to process and mix a variety of different products.

Bio-Trans(Stainless Steel)

Charter offers application-designed, mobile container handling units mounted on durable, non-marking wheels. These tough stainless steel totes hold the flexible bags plus outlet tubing in a self-contained, wheeled unit that can even be transported by forklift. A uniquely designed bottom outlet system allows fast flow rates and minimal container holdup volume.
